Each January we hold an annual meeting at the Loring -Greenough House. We invite merchants and residents to join us as we celebrate our new of accomplishments. Our president gives an over view of the following years goals, and our committee chairs give presentations. Our guest speak is poet Sandee Story. First Thursday Kick Off Party Each may we hold a First Thursday kick off party each year to celebrate the beginning of the season. Each year we host the event in a new business such as Station 8 hair salon where we show cased the salon’s stylists work in a fashion show featuring the clothing of Dame and Salmagundi. This past spring the event was held at Temple Sound and Stage, in JP’s new state of the art recording studio. Over 200 people gathered to see the 36,000 square space and enjoy the art exhibit.
an evening mystery and magic For the past eight years over 250 JP neighbors and friends join together on a Saturday evening in October to celebrate an evening of mystery and magic. The ball is held at Eliot Hall, home of The Footlight Club it features music, a silent art auction and live auction. Guest arrive dressed in amazing costumes and enjoy delectable fare from every corner of the Jamaica Plain community.
